Thandai Recipe | Rajasthani Thandai Recipe | Thandai Recipe for Holi | Sardai Recipe

    Happy Holi folks!!

Holi is a festival of colors. It is celebrated as a big grand festival in northern parts of India. On this occasion, an authentic cold drink is prepared which is known as Thandai. Thandai is a flavored milk. Usually holi is celebrated during the month of March, when summer starts. To beat the heat people prefer to drink Thandai while they play colors.

There are different variations in making thandai. Few of them prefer to use cashew, badam, pista in the thandai masala, especially in Rajasthan. To make it even rich, you can add kesar(saffron) strands for garnishing. Thandai is not only a beat the heat recipe, but a rich nutritious drink.

Here, I made a quick thandai recipe for this holi using Cashew, elaichi, pepper corns, khus khus and sauf.

Lately, I have posted few summer cooler recipes: Virgin Mojito, Orange-Mint Crusher. Why go to restaurant, when you can easily prepare these yourselves at home. Do check out these recipes and let me know your feed back here in the comments section.
